5 Days Chimpanzee, Gorilla Safaris

5 Days Kibale and Bwindi national parks:

Day 1: Depart for Kibale National Park:
After breakfast set again for Kibale National Park we'll take the scenic drive through tea plantations and a lunch break in Fort Portal town which is 34 kms from the Main Park. The Park is home to several families of primates including habituated Chimpanzees. It has 11 species of primates, including many families of chimps and colobus monkeys, buffalo, warthog, Uganda Kob and over 300 bird species.Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest House.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking

Early in the morning proceed to Kibale National park headquarters 8:00am for chimpanzee tracking.Tracking will begin and last for about 3hrs get back by mid noon. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest national park will thrill you; look out for primates like the colobus monkeys, families of chimpanzees, a diversity ofbirds and an abundance of butterflies and other tropical insects. You will have a picnic lunch there, and then you will take an optional visit to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary a superbeco tourism site established to protect the Magombe swamps-a haven of birds (137 species) and a number of primates. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest House.

Day 3: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park:

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi impenetrable forests Home to the rare Mountain gorillas After a five hour drive through villages, towns, highlands, and grazing lands southwest we get to Bwindi impenetrable forest. Overnight at Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Lodge or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Early morning we have our break fast and after we gather at the Uganda wild life authority Bwindi headquarters for registering, get walking sticks and group up for pre-trek briefing. 8:00 am we start the gorilla trek which takes us between half and hour to up to whole day through a steeply forested landscape which has incredible dense under growth an experience of penetrating the impenetrable.

The experience of gorilla tracking and finding these great primates is very, exciting, there are 9 other primate species including chimpanzee, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, plus 300 bird species and 200 species of butter flies. Overnight at Luxury Gorilla Forest camp /Mid Range Lake Kitandara luxury tents / Buhoma Lodge or basic at Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 5: Drive back to Kampala

After breakfast we will drive back to Kampala, arriving in the early evening
