Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destination in Africa for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. Kibales 795 km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is a place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate. The Forest covers the central and northern part of the park on the raised Fort Portal plateau. At the parks northern tip, Kibale stands 1590m above sea level.

Murchison Falls, also known as Kabalega Falls or Kabarega Falls, is a waterfall on the Nile. It breaks the Victoria Nile, which flows across northern Uganda from Lake Victoria to Lake Kyoga and then to the north end of Lake Albert in the western branch of the East African Rift. 21638.33N 31410.05;E / 2.2773139N 31.6833472E/ 2.2773139; 31.6833472. At the top of Murchison Falls, the Nile forces its way through a seven metre gap in the rocks and tumbles 43 metres down, then flows westward into Lake Albert. The outlet of Lake Victoria sends around 300 cubic metres per second (11,000 ft/s) of water over the falls, squeezed into a gorge less than ten metres (30 ft) wide.
